Benton Township Recyle Program
Benton Township offers a no fee recycle program for Benton Township taxpayers only. Accepted behind the Benton Township Park off Orchard Beach Road and the Alverno Fire Department building on US 23.
Transfer Station
April 1 – October 31 (Tuesday & Thursday 2pm – 6pm and Saturday 9am – 5pm). November 1 – March 31 (Saturday 9am – 5pm) Transfer Station tickets can be purchased at the Alverno Grocery Store or Township Office. Please call the transfer station attendant at (231) 625-9811 to see what type of garbage is acceptable.
Building permits, in addition to the permits required by Cheboygan County, are required from the Cordwood Point Association Board of Directors.
